I'm trying to reorganize a membership database for a non-profit I work with back home in NJ. I'm a bit stuck and need someone to be a sounding board. They don't have to know much about SQL or anything (I'm stuck with logisticaly problems, not technology). But most of all I need to do this in person not over the phone. I'm a visual thinker and need to draw diagrams (STOP: Do not give me advice about "shared whiteboard" tools, etc. I need to write with my hands, not a mouse.) Basically we have 3 databases that need to be merged, with strange dup-elimination rules and there are temporal problems (ie. some databases are old but more accurate, others are newer but less accurate. Confused? So am I!).
If anyone local (Local = Mountain View, CA) could help me with this on Saturday or Sunday (or even Friday night) I'll repay you with dinner or other appropriate bribes. It will probably take an hour or two... 3-4 tops if things go really slowly.
Thanks!
Tom

Good luck!~

Date: 2006-03-03 05:42 am (UTC)I'm in Oakland. I have a lunch date up here at noon, but I'll be free after that. As of about an hour ago there are three vehicles parked in my garage, so I have plenty of wheels to get wherever I need.
