In 1992 software piracy was rampant. The solution? A rap song to tell kids "don't copy that floppy".

I dig the rad dance moves.

When will google video work under RedHat Enterprise Linux 4? In this case I heard the sound but didn't see anything (latest supported mozilla and flash versions from RedHat; the flash-plugin is maybe one point release behind that downloadable from Macrobe; 7.0.25-2.EL4)

I don't know. You should file a support request with Google Video.

Why do you object to people having your unlocked posts come up on their friends page? That's all LJ "firend" means you know. it doesn't mean [livejournal.com profile] yesthattom is claiming he knows you.

I befriended you because you posted something interesting to another community and thought you might have other interesting things to say on your LJ. Sadly I was wrong. You've never said anything even slightly interesting.

However, every time I go to your LJ I can't find a link for "user info" which would let me remove you. The path of least resistance has been to leave you as a "friend".

However I have now manually constructed the URL required to view your profiles (I went to the profile of someone interesting, and then edited the URL to include "wast3dthoughts" where it previously was their name.) Thus, I have successfully removed you from my friends list.

You might want to correct your LJ "Style" HTML so that other people can remove you as a friend more easily. I'm sure there are many people that would appreciate it.

I don't understand. Why do you have to go to their user info page to remove them from your friends list?

What other methods should I use?

Your right, I reread what you wrote and its the same. I just send the link.
Chalk it up to it being late in the evening and lack of sleep.

...before you answer, I highly recommend that you try whatever method you suggest on my account. With 718 friends, it doesn't list them all on my info page.

I should also warn you that I've already spent more time on this issue than is worth my time.

Ok, if you can't display all your friends on your info page, I don't know how else you would do it. Sorry.

For the record: The default LJ style has a Manage, Friends option that points to the Friends Tools page, which has a link to let you Edit your Friends. This lets you remove people from your list, as well as add people who've got you on their lists.

But yes, with 718 Friends on your list, this is still a nontrivial task.

That's way more effort than its worth.

So will the RIAA come out with their own version of the video now that they have told Congress that people are not allowed to backup CDs or copy them to their iPod? And if they do, will they violate the Software Publishers Association's copyright? Inquiring minds want to know.

I'm so glad they were able to nip the problem of rampant software privacy in the bud back in 1992.

And Tom, I hope you always keep me on your flist.
