I had to write an bio about my activism. I have to do this now and then. It's really refreshing to see all the good stuff I've done put in one place.
Here's what I came up with, minus identifying data. With all the []'s its sort of silly.
[ME] is an organizer in the bisexual community. A past-president of [the state's LGBT coalition], he is most known for being a founder of [bi organization], [state]'s largest bisexual organization. [ME] was Outreach Co-Chair of [the state's LGBT coalition]'s [name of legislation] Task Force which amended [state]'s anti-discrimination laws to include sexual orientation. He has chaired 3 regional bisexual conferences, helped many new organizations get off the ground, and was involved in the 1993 March On Washington and Stonewall 25 celebrations. [ME] received the [company's queer employee group] "Award for Community Service" and received the [the state's LGBT coalition] [name of award] Award. [ME]'s visionary writings have earned him the title "the architect of the modern bisexual movement". [ME] freely shares his knowledge with others and can often be found teaching workshops on facilitating support groups, running conferences, and creating web sites. He is heavily involved in the polyamory movement, both as an organizer and educator. Outside of activism, he works in the computer security field, and is the co-author of a groundbreaking book on managing large networks of computers which spent a week in the Amazon.com top 100.
