Film Review: Sideways

yesthattomSideways: Wow, what a great flick. And to think that I was going to see it when it was an unknown independent flick only being played at art-houses. We went to see it this weekend at the huge Loews theater near us.
It was, amazingly enough, the first time I’ve been in a movie theater when a cell phone went off during the film. Of course, it was during one of the most dramatic and critical scenes (when Maya is describing why she loves wine) and totally ruined it. Ugh.
Anyway, I really hope this film wins an Oscar or two. It deserves it.
