You Are a Liberal for Life

You’ve got a bleeding heart - and you’re proud of it. For you, liberal means being compassionate, pro-government, and anti-business. You believe in equality for every person, and you consider yourself universally empathetic. Helping others is not just political for you ... it’s very personal too.

it seems that the main question is "who do you wish you could vote for". at least, when i tried it, that seemed to pick my answer.

You Are a New School Democrat

You like partying and politics - and are likely to be young and affluent.

You're less religious, traditional, and uptight than most Democrats.

Smoking pot, homosexuality, and gambling are all okay in your book.

You prefer that the government help people take care of themselves.

I guess I can't complain given the simplicity of the questions, but more and more I identify more as some sort of freakish conservative/progressive hybrid .

That was my result too. Pretty accurate, except about liking partying and politics. I'm not a partier, and I distrust most politicians. To me, holding high office is such a cutthroat, thankless job that only the insane or power-hungry would really want to do it.

You 'n' me both...

There weren't enough potential answers for some of the questions, and others were loaded: for instance, I support school vouchers, not because "every parent should be able to choose" a religious school over a secular one, but because I think it's a good way to infuse the educational system with new ideas on how to teach, and parents should be able to choose from a variety of schools, not just public or church-run.
