I keep learning more things about my friend's death/suicide last summer.
His schizophrenia was so bad, that for his last 18 months he always made sure there was a dog with him. Dogs bark at people but don't bark at hallucinations. That's how he knew who the real people were.
It makes me wonder... was this technique what helped him keep surviving or was this what brought him to the reality of just how sick he was. Was this what helped him decide that ending his life was easier than curing his illness?
