Looking for good software developers in NY
Jan. 7th, 2007 12:18 pmSquee!! It looks like I will get permission to hire 4 software developers in NY. This would be to create a web-based internal tool. Server platform would be Python on Linux (of course!). I need 1, maybe 2 of them to be extremely strong on HTML UI design (not just how to write HTML, but have a sense of what makes for a usable application... and this is a complicated one so putting thought into making the UI is going to be important). At least one needs to be senior. (Any sysadmin experience is a plus)
Time to start recruitin’!

an exchange from “The McLaughlin Group” last Sunday . . . the New Year’s Eve show organized around the “best and worst” of 2006.
McLaughlin asked his panelists, who range from Pat Buchanan on the right to Eleanor Clift on the left . . .
Who was the MOST UNDER-RATED person of 2006?
PAT BUCHANAN answered: “Howard Dean really hasn’t gotten credit for his 50-state strategy which quite frankly WORKED.”
To which ELEANOR CLIFT immediately responded -- perhaps the only time all year she has agreed with Pat Buchanan -- “Right. That’s exactly my nomination. Kudos to Howard Dean.”
