Did you hear that Porter Goss, the new CIA chief, has ended the daily briefings on terrorism? We all knew the Bush administration didn’t care about the war on terror (if it did, it would have listened to Clarke and prevented 9/11) but as further proof, now that the election is over its no longer required that Bush Jr. pretend he’s interested. Thus, the CIA doesn’t focus on it.

But what I really wanted to write about is the fact that Frank Rich is a genius for yet another insightful analysis of how the world of fiction and the world of Bush Jr relate:

Mr. President, I rise to support the contention of the junior Senator from California that we have to take a very hard look at this. We are trying to demonstrate the virtues of democracy to Iraqis and Ukrainians and other people around the world who are struggling to be free. People must have confidence that our election results are unassailable.

Unfortunately, questions have been raised in the Presidential election of 2000 and in the Presidential election of 2004. Cut for length )

There’s just so much in this article to raise one’s bloodpressure. The reason I’m reposting it is because it validates my claim that Bush is brilliant about his Orwellian tactics: Getting gay sell-outs to run things with positive names like “AIDS Responsibility Project” that are really about making big $ for drug companies while letting people die.

I love quoting Michael Moore because it always pisses off Republicans.

What I really love is when so-called Democrats complain about him by saying things like, “He’s such a publicity hound.” While Democrats like to think that “the better idea always wins” the truth is that if nobody hears you, nobody hears you. I wish all Democrats would learn that 90% of politics is visibility. That’s why I love that MM put up this page.
