Did you hear that Porter Goss, the new CIA chief, has ended the daily briefings on terrorism? We all knew the Bush administration didn’t care about the war on terror (if it did, it would have listened to Clarke and prevented 9/11) but as further proof, now that the election is over its no longer required that Bush Jr. pretend he’s interested. Thus, the CIA doesn’t focus on it.

But what I really wanted to write about is the fact that Frank Rich is a genius for yet another insightful analysis of how the world of fiction and the world of Bush Jr relate:

Leaving politics aside... are you excited for the premier?

I am.

I have all three seasons on DVD, we can have '24 parties' if we agree to disagree about politics and leave them at Palmer or Keillor ;)

Totally excited!

Even the bad episodes are enjoyable to me.

I didn't hear about Porter Goss ending the terrorism briefs; forgive my ignorance, but I didn't know there was a special terrorism brief in addition to the regular intelligence brief. I did an online search and couldn't find anything about it; can you point me to a source? I'm curious now...
