Quoted from Adam Mordecai on ChangeForAmerica.com

Steal it. Blog it. Link it.

The Republican Attack Machine(RAM) is masterful in it's delivery of responses to Democratic statements. They spin, they omit, they create controversies out of molehills, and they stop at nothing to vilify and attack us at every turn. They are unified in their contempt for truth, they are unified in molding the media to fit their needs, they are unified in their desire to stifle all seeds of dissent. They are the Picassos of Spin. Considering how much controversy has been dogging them at every turn, one has to admire their zeal and skill. Think about it. We manage to be outraged by something new EVERY SINGLE DAY. They have done so many outrageous things, that there is a never ending river of scandal pouring into the streets, yet much of it is ignored or never picked up. Think about all the horrible things they have done. They come at such a rapid pace, we don't have time to focus one to it's proper size. The river of lies pour over us so fast that we barely have time to blink until the next one pops up. (FYI, today's scandal is that Bush had Rummy and Cheney tell Saudi Arabia we were going to war before we told our own Secretary of State.) Yet they manage to turn Jamie Gorelick into a pariah for a weak example of conflict of interest from 1995 on the 911 commission. Now she receives death threats. They RAM it down our throats at every turn.

So the closest thing we have to respond to their lies is the blogosphere. Reliable, intelligent sources such as Atrios, Daily Kos, Talking Points Memo, Washington Monthly , Billmon and the many other just as brilliant, highly intuitive blogs do their part every day to make sure media coverage is fair, that this administration remains under scrutiny, that the Democrats win in November, and that voices of truth and reason prevail. The internet is our domain. Radio was theirs.

Now we have a new reliable teammate on the airwaves, Air America Radio as well as their blogs, The O' Franken Factor and The Majority Report. RAM has already started their effort to disparage and shut Air America down, by accusing them of bouncing checks via Drudge and Fox. The false claims made it around the networks in quick fashion. I think it's time for the blogosphere to protect their new brother. We've created a tiny show of solidarity in this all out media war with the RAMers.

At the top of this post you'll notice our little bloggers button. I ask that you steal it, put it on your blog, and link it to Air America. If you don't have a blog, I ask that you send an email to your favorite blog and as them to use that button and link to Air America. Ask everyone you know to sign up at Air America's website and get the word out about what really is happening in this country.

We need a powerful progressive voice in the media. Help take your country back.

Bush revealed his "Clean Oceans" plan today. This has been talked about for months because the drafts basically give away sea rights to big polluters in ways that will destroy fishing and other environmental concerns for centuries. NPR interviewed people months ago about this. Remember how his "Healthy Forrest Initiative" was about cutting down trees? The DNC blog has a humorous outlook on it (Banning gay marriage for fish?)

Needless to say, if you want real policies to protect our oceans, John Kerry's your man.
