So where *was* Tom last weekend?

Now the truth can be told.

I've been very quiet lately, mostly because I've been busy, but I also spent 3 days on a retreat without a computer. At the retreat I was involved in putting together Cummings Creek Compact. And might I point out that I was the first person to suggest "Compact" when others were shouting out "Accord", "Manifesto" and other words.

WHY THE HELL ARE PEOPLE CALLING "PASSION" ANTI-SEMITIC?

I don't understand why people are calling Mel Gibson's movie "Passion" anti-semitic.

I mean, it's just a film portrayal of the "Passion Plays" that the Roman Catholic Church used to sponsor for about 1900 years of their history.
These plays were 2-hour dramatic representations of how Jews killed Jesus littered with propaganda explaining why Jews are evil, can't be trusted, and should be mistreated when you meet them.
Why are people calling this "anti-semitic"? Sheesh!

Note: Holy Week (the week leading up to Easter Sunday) was a period when Jews were most vulnerable and when Christians perpetrated some of the worst violence against their Jewish neighbors. Isn't it great that Mel released the movie today?

Need to throw away or sell 500 or so PCs? Don't want the buyer to be able to read the data from the hard disk?

Darik's Boot 'n' Nuke is a mini-Linux distro (image for Floppy and CD-ROM). You boot on it, it erases every disk on the computer. You get one chance to say, "No, I didn't mean to do it."

I tried a package called "Autoclave" but this was much faster and betterer.

Plus, "Boot 'N Nuke" is a much better name.

Volunteering with Dean For America has been fun, but now I must drive home. I'm interrupting my packing to write these down.

In my imaginary life, there is a prequel series to The West Wing which is all flashbacks to his first campaign. Sadly in this alternate reality he doesn't win the primary, dropping out after losing in Wisconsin.
