Government should be optimistic.

A great West Wing quote from the episode "100,000 Airplanes". In this scene, they are debating whether or not they should create a project to cure cancer in 10 years. The entire staff says why they'll be pummeled for proposing it. And then Sam says...

"I think ambition is good. I think overreaching is good. I think giving people a vision of government that's more than Social Security checks and debt reduction is good. I think government should be optimistic."

It's one of my favorite scenes.
