The Boycott is Over

I bought gas at Exxon today.

That's right. The boycott is over. For ... 10? 15? whatever years since the Exxon Valdez oil spill I've been boycotting Exxon gas. There may have been 1-2 times when I bought it when I had no other choice. The boycott is over. I can now get gas anyplace again.

I'm sure they've learned their lesson.

I wonder how this will affect their stock price?

WaveLAN/Orinoco

Lucent/WaveLAN/Orinoco has a major firmware upgrade available. It makes the 802.11 security go from terrible to minorly-sucky.

While they stopped supporting the older WaveLAN cards on their web site, you'll notice that they suddenly have firmware upgrades for them. That's how big companies admit major security flaws without admitting it.
