Kerry Picks Edwards

I'm *totally* in favor of Edwards as VP. However, I think they should have waited for Bush to drop Cheney. Now the Republicans have a much better idea of who to pick to replace Cheney. If they had waited for Cheney's replacement to be named, the Dems would have the ability to modify their search criteria at the last minute.
I think Bush will pick Liddy Dole. That way it will split the women's organizations who would be torn between supporting an anti-choice woman versus a pro-choice male.

Date: 2004-07-06 06:40 pm (UTC)The GOP does lie a *lot* and it amazes me how few times they have been called on it. I think their strategy is just that they can lie, spin, cheat to get their bullshit ideas out there, or rely on the apathy and ignorance of US voters to carry them through.
But I'm not pessimistic...

(His life, as opposed to everyone else's, obviously.)
