London Restaurant Review: Haz
May. 15th, 2004 11:15 pmI ate at Haz Restaurant tonight after working a full day at the office. It was excellent. Haz is a Turkish restaurant in London, near "the gherkin", minutes from Liverpool Street Station. I had the hummus appetizer the chicken guvech for my main course. For dessert I had this amazing baked pears with cream dish, which I was surprised to find was served chilled. It was delicious, I'm going to try to replicate it at home. ...but the real reason I'm writing this review is to kill time since I'm bored out of my mind staying at a place without TV, and its too late to go out. :-)

Date: 2004-05-16 12:57 am (UTC)When I got to London some years later, I checked it out. It's very near the Lambeth bridge. It wasn't as good as the one in San Francisco (now long defunct), and the prices are twice the going rate even for London. But the food was still pretty good. And you could get Kulfi with silver leaf on it.
