I have to start assuming that people aren't intentionally trying to piss me off

ANNOUNCEMENT!

For now on, when someone says something stupid that pisses me off, I'm going to pretend I thought they were telling a joke, burst out laughing, and say "Oh, that's hilarious!". I figure it's better to act embarassed when the person says they weren't making a joke, than to explain to police why I killed the person.

Or maybe I've lost my sense of humor and need a coping mechanism so that I don't kill these people. I wonder how common this is with sysadmins.

I'll try to post examples in the future. I wonder if rainbear would consider trying this with the chinless wonder.
