you friended me a while ago, and then i disappeared across the great divide. been catching up on entries, and i wanted to let you know you make me laugh til it hurts.
Thank you. You've never really seen how obnoxious I can be until you make the mistake of asking me for feedback on your writing. I remember saying
Tom's used to this. Christine, welcome to the wonderful world of Josh's Shorthand Review Comments From Hell. Tom's gone through this process innumerable times with me; I tend to rip his grammar and spelling apart, make frequent word choice recommendations, and even ask horribly annoying rhetorical questions that, when answered, hopefully make a better end product. He hasn't killed me yet, and he keeps asking for my input, so I'lll just assume it's actually helpful.
to Chris when she got my first emailed edits on That Book, since by then Tom'd been getting my Review Comments From Hell for a few years on his conference papers.
One of my favorite comments allowed me to use the word antepenultimate on him. That was great fun.
