Michele Bachmann: U.S. Embassy In Iran (Which Doesn't Exist) Would Be Closed Under My Watch

We haven't had an embassy there since 1980.

So, my questions for Michele Bachman are:

1. Since the embassy was closed in 1980, do you mean you would build a time machine and go back to the 1970s and close it down earlier? What year would you close it down?

2. When you said this it got a huge amount of applause. Will you repeat the line even though you know it is misguided because you know it gets a lot of applause? What does this say about the people coming to your rallies?

3. What other things that don't exist would you shut down?

It's not worthwhile to spend time slamming a candidate with no choice. I think we should all spend time asking why Herman Cain is getting grief for allegedly having an affair, when Newt Gingrich not only had 2 affairs, but served his wife with divorce papers right when she was suffering the most from cancer.

Truly, an excellent question. I'm rather amazed that he's a viable candidate given his past, much less a front runner.
