Film Review Catch-up

yesthattomThere are a few films I've seen that I haven't had time to review. Here's some quickie-reviews:
Girl with a Pearl Earring -- Great if you like period pieces. (I don't).
Barbarian Invasions -- EXCELLENT film from Canada. (Don't worry, it has English sub-titles). This is the Canadian entry to the Oscars. Great movie about the philosophy of life and death.
Calendar Girls -- EXCELLENT comedy. A "full monty" for senior citizens.
Kitchen Stories -- Funny but slow. The Neatherlands entry to the Oscars. A very thought provoking film, but not something that everyone will like.
Paycheck -- Good action film with a plot that makes me remember why I dislike GW Bush's pre-emptive strike policy.
