My New Year Party

Every december since 1999 I've held a New Year party sometime in December. (Note: it's not a "News Years" party, because that would be on Dec 31st. It's a party for the new year, which can be held any time I please).
This year it looks like it will be on Dec 30th, and I'll be asking for a $10 donation for the Howard Dean campaign.
On December 30, we’ll be 311 days from Election Day. At the New Year for America house parties, we’ll start the countdown to this historic day — this year, the real New Year starts November 2nd, when Howard Dean takes the White House back! You can help by signing up today to a host a house party. The fundraising goal for each party is just $311. But, here’s the amazing thing — if 3,000 of us host parties across America, together we’ll raise $933,000. You can help us break a million by setting your fundraising goal at $622, $1,244, or more. Together we CAN compete dollar-for-dollar with Bush’s fat-cat corporate donors.
I have to check with my housemates, but I don't think it will be a problem.
