What was Watergate? (WEEKEND READING ASSIGNMENT)

Watergate is the scandal that ruined Nixon. It was the revelation that for 30 years he had authorized dirty tricks to gain power. What got him caught was when his operatives pretended to be burglars robbing the DNC headquarters in an attempt to install bugging devices.
