A decent response to Bush's "unborn child protection act"

We all know that the "unborn child protection act" is a stealth law that establishes precident to make it easier to ban abortions in the future, but will Bush speak out against this?

As I've said to other people about this one, I don't think up to 40 years in a Texas state maximum security mental hospital is going to be a romp in the park.

I agree with Kimuchi on the 40 years.

How does one speak out about this? In my area, a couple of years ago now, we had Marilyn Lemack who drugged and killed her 3 kids. I have 3 kids.......and it seems to me that insanity is believable in the cases of mothers who would and could do things such as this.

Can we speak out on the fact that this nation is filled with religious mania? I don't want to open a GIGANTIC can of worms, but this woman killed in the name of God. Aren't we at war with Muslims over the same basic principle?

How about we speak out on the mental health care system and services in this country? A system in which one who *seeks* care gets, if anything, care on a far reduced level, because *mental* health DOESN'T COUNT.

Our media labels everything a tragedy. When one like this truly comes along, we don't have the words to recognize it for what it is.

I don't think the court was condoning these murders and I don't see how inflicting unwanted pregnancies on mostly poor women really relates here. Were these 3 children unwanted?
